Creative Contact Form (com_creativecontactform) <= 4.6.2 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Upload (RCE) and Directory Traversal
Creative Contact Form (formerly Sexy Contact Form) by Creative Solutions is affected by two issues. CVE-2014-8739 (CVSS 9.8, Critical): the bundled jQuery File Upload handler in server/php/UploadHandler.php accepts an unrestricted upload, so an unauthenticated attacker can upload a .php file and execute it directly - fixed in 2.0.1 for Joomla. CVE-2020-9364 (CVSS 5.3, Medium): a directory traversal in helpers/mailer.php via the creativecontactform_upload filename field lets an attacker read arbitrary files off the filesystem using the "Send me a copy" option. Update to 4.6.3 or later. Note that the CVE-2020-9364 fix shipped as a re-release of 4.6.2 dated 2019-12-03 rather than a version bump, so a 4.6.2 install cannot be told apart from a patched one by version alone and is flagged here; moving to 4.6.3 or later is the reliable fix.
