We have so much more control over each site, particularly the security, which was often lacking in WP Umbrella. The backup integration [That WP Umbrella has] was a big missing feature with mySites.guru , but as 99% of our sites are backed up from the server side, this wasn't really an issue. Phil has been incredibly responsive. When I asked if the feature to hide the mySites.guru plugin was available, he implemented it before we signed up . He then adjusted the one-click login to work with the 2fa plugin we use at our agency . I love how proactive the tool and developer are . My only complaint is that we need a short name as typing mySites.guru is tedious 😄

Keep in mind there IS a paid subscription service you can use for end-of-life J3 sites that will provide security patches but why??? Instead, mySites.guru provides free updates as part of the package at no additional cost. A subscription for the service pays for itself with just this feature.

As for Phil himself, his support is exceptional . I have literally had no experience of any individual or organisation anywhere that is as knoweldgable in their field, helpful, and fast to respond. For more than a decade Phil has fixed every website problem we've asked him to, and has saved our bacon many times - above and beyond. Even when asked some pretty basic questions his responses are always informative, which helps fill any gaps in our knowledge as well as understand a particular problem. If it were possible to rate mySites.guru and Phil any higher, I would.

He handles it every single time - quickly and with finesse. One of these days, I will stop wasting my time and just turn right to him at the beginning of a problem. He maintains the core and continuously adds new features/functions. It's impressive. There are so many features that most people (myself included) won't ever utilize the system to its fullest capacity. It's one of the three MUST-HAVE softwares for my business (along with Adobe Creative Suite and Gsuite). At its base, the Backup tool, Updates tool, and site Audit/Security check tools are CRITICAL. All the others are icing on the cake, and have become a key reason that I continue to confidently serve my clients for years. I have LEARNED MORE from Phil (the owner) about Joomla website best practices than I have from any other resource (including Joomla.org ). The large number of tools provided are easy to use and full of explanatory information with links and documentation - a dream for a nerd like me!! To date, I've had ONE hacked site (software hadn't been updated in 2-3 years per client's wishes), which was identified immediately (by MySites), and I restored from a backup, ran an audit, fixed the holes with updates, and kept rolling. Probably took me all of an hour. (This would have been a NIGHTMARE without MySites; it saved my client a ton of money, and me a ton of time. Needless to say, the client has commissioned my services for quarterly updates now). I would 100% recommend MySites for any Joomla or Wordpress website manager. The negative reviewers may be making things up I think or just lame. Two examples. 1. I was burgled in March 2018 and as a result my credit card had to be cancelled. Not remembering EVERY auto payment I had, it was declined at Phils end. I explained what happened and he was so good about it he continued my subscription until my new card arrived. 2. Today I had trouble connecting a new clients site. Although there are a lot of other sites available, I was satisfied to know and able to talk to the Phil the person working on my site which gave me a sense of security. Myjoomla also provides advanced extra helpful webmaster for those interested monitoring and taking a closer look on their site!
